Girls Can't Catch are a British girl group. Their debut single "Keep Your Head Up" entered the UK Singles Chart at number 26. They are currently working on their debut album, and will release their second single "Echo" on January 18th 2010.
The girls were scouted by their label Polydor, and then were asked to be in a new girl band. One member of the group, Pheobe Brown, was previously in a girl group called "Hope" that rose to fame on The X Factor. "Hope" made into the live shows, but were the seventh act eliminated (fifth place overall).
Besides Brown, Girls Can't Catch includes Daizy Agnew of MTV's Urban Base. She was voted winner of the original Hugo Urban Rules (2006) by US Soul Legend Jo, UK Rapper Sway, and Terri Walker. Daizy went on to work with Colin Emmanual (aka 'C' Swing) and Gerard Logan (aka SoundBwoy) and the 411's Tisha Martin and Tanya Bonyface among others. In 2009, she was invited to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, recording the original version of 'My Time' with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren.
The groups name was originally given to The Saturdays, but the group turned it down.
The girls are currently recording their debut album, slated for a 2010 release. They first became known while being a opening act for Girls Aloud on their 'Out of Control Tour'. Their debut single entitled "Keep Your Head Up" was released August 2, 2009 and entered the UK singles chart at 26. They performed at the iTunes Festival, performing Keep Your Head Up, Red (Daniel Merriweather cover) and their second single "Echo". Echo was originally scheduled for a November release, but was rushed back for unknown reasons,with a new release date of 18th January 2010. They are currently supporting The Jonas Brothers on the UK leg of their World Tour, which began on 17 November in Birmingham. They also performed at the Christmas lights ceremony in Hull on 19 November 2009.
